Rules and Policies 2022
These rule and policies are intended to make Afterlife Forums - 'ALF' - a safe and welcoming community for us all. They should be read in conjunction with 'Your Registration Agreement'. Please take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with them.
Religion, Politics and UFO / space travel
No conversations mentioning specific religions, faiths or beliefs etc. are allowed. Proselytizing will lead to an immediate ban and the closure of a member's account.
No conversations mentioning specific politics, politicians, policies etc. are allowed. They are banned because of their history of divisiveness on ALF.
No conversations about unidentified flying objects and/or space travelers etc. are allowed. They are banned because of their history of divisiveness on ALF.
Respect
Everyone should be treated with respect even if you disagree with their ideas - disagree about points without being disagreeable. Members have the right to voice opinions without fear of disrespect or ridicule. If you feel that is not happening please contact the administrator for investigation and action if needed.
Unacceptable Language
Swearing, cursing, obscene, vulgar, or hateful language will not be tolerated anywhere including the private mailing system.
Images/Videos
Members are permitted to post pictures and videos as long as they are about the afterlife or spiritually related subjects but please see 'Links' below.
Links
Links to irrelevant, commercial or private websites will be removed as might videos, pictures or text. If they are judged to be spamming, a member's account may be closed without warning.
Links, promotional material etc. may not be displayed on your profile page.
Unrequested links (or any other unrequested material) must not be sent in private messages.
If you are unsure about the suitability of a link please contact the administrator.
Spamming
The posting of content that does not relate to the afterlife or relevant spirituality is considered spamming and will be removed.
Religious spamming, defined as attempting to convert forums readers to your religious views through threats or intimidation, is prohibited and content will be removed.
Unauthorized advertising is spam and content will be removed.
Contact email addresses that appear to be businesses are generally not acceptable when applying for an account. Business addresses posted after registration anywhere on this site will be removed and the account may be closed without warning.
Multiple Accounts
A member is not allowed more than one account. The membership of anyone suspected of opening an additional account will be suspended and that member may be contacted by the administrator.
Complaints
Please do not question or discuss administrative issues in the forums. If you have a concern please contact the administrator using private messaging.
Administrative Actions
Administrative actions, including banning a member, closing or removing a thread or post is a serious matter. A private warning message may be issued and further disruption may lead to disciplinary actions or banning. In cases of fraud or extreme abuse members will be banned without warning.
Suicide
Nothing posted in these forums should be construed as a reason to end your life!
Although we understand the afterlife to be wonderful it is taught that those there who had taken their own lives, expecting to escape their problems, greatly regretted doing so. Ending one's life is a short-term fix and may have unexpected ramifications.
If you feel helpless, under pressure or suicidal please seek support and help from a mental health specialist, a general practitioner or a hospital emergency room. Or take a look in ALF's resource area to find organisations who have trained counsellors you can speak to. Resources

Members have the option of creating a signature to be automatically added at the bottom of their posts. Links in them must be approved by the administrator prior to posting.
