Hi again Carol & Mikey.

I'm willing to accept that reincarnation is real and happens, even though I don't particularly like it. What I would like to know is if we change roles "drastically" like going from being child and parent in this lifetime to being a romantic couple in the next reincarnation? Is that common?
Hi Toughlove,
I never wanted to believe this (reincarnation) either. But I always wondered why some people are disabled severely at birth, and some seem to have everything going for them, etc. Life is either very unfair if it's a one time shot, or there is more to the story. I also don't think we could possible get it right in just one life!
Regarding your question, what you describe above can absolutely happen. We change roles according to Mikey. He also tells me the only way we truly learn something is to experience it.

Hello again,I often wander about astral travel is it as real as here,I've never experienced astral travel at least not that I remember, so my point is surely if we all astral travel asleep surely if it was so vivid and real that alone would make you remember, and to most people they don't.remember
Hello!
We all travel according to Mikey. Subconsciously we are aware, but consciously not often. It is as real as here and can be even more vivid in detail according to Mikey. Mikey tells me when we are in "human mind thought", that door is often closed regarding our travel. Tapping into our subconscious is key, but difficult to do in our "mind set" .

I was reading through some posts and wanted to say that this is absolutely true.

I had people telling me he was old and was going to die anyways, but I don’t think it was a coincidence that he died shortly after my daughter was born. Trying not to cry here... but just thought I would share that.
I know, I agree. Still tough, but am so glad to be blessed with our pets. They help us so much!

Hi Carol & Mikey,
Thank you for answering. I very much agree when you say "Life is either very unfair if it's a one time shot" and that is why I also do believe in reincarnation. It doesn't make much sense otherwise.

While I can understand changing roles within families and such, what I don't understand is why my mother in this lifetime would be my spouse in the next or my romantic partner in this lifetime would be my parent in the next with all the other billions of souls to "choose from". I'm sure I'm sounding like a "typical human being with an ego", but still - that, to me, makes it feel like we're all just balls of energy without much personality, individuality, or uniqueness of bonds and relationships in the Afterlife. Kind of like, "Well thanks for playing my mom the last time, can you be my husband next time?". Ugh, that's somehow depressing to me.
Hi Toughlove,
We are not just balls of energy. There is way more to us than that! Mikey tells me our personalities are the same, etc. We are who we are, just without a physical shell in the afterlife. Don't assume your mother is then your wife, etc. next time around. We can intertwine with other soul groups, etc. also. But Mikey just tells me that what you described before could happen. Doesn't mean it absolutely will. So don't get too worried about it. (And it does seem weird from our perspective.)

Thanks for the answer. Questions:
1) I understand correctly that only a soul with a small number of lives lived can be a materialist in mortal life?
2) Personal question. The universe has countless planets for reincarnation. Why did Mikey choose planet Earth for his reincarnations?

Hi everyone! Just finished reading through this thread. Really grateful for your willingness to enlighten us, Carol and Mikey.

I'm wondering about the concept of God as our father. Mikey, I've bought your book and I know your definition of god is something like "a unity of absolute pure love which is infinite". I know lots of people think of God as their eternal father, especially in Christianity. Jesus speaks of God this way in the Bible as well. I'm personally unsure about how to think of God. Is there any truth to God being our father? Or is there no entity-like aspect to God?

I ask because I personally find a great deal of peace when I connect to God, but my connecting to God feels halted as soon as I'm unsure of what form "it" takes.

Hi Carol & Mikey

This January, I lost a beloved dog to cancer. it was unexpected and the cancer took her within a week of being diagnosed. (a rare and aggressive form of cancer). I guess what I really need to know is if my Maxine is in heaven and does she know how much we loved her and miss her. Am I ever going to see her again? will she remember me when I go to heaven. Is she watching over us? Can I communicate with her? She was a very special girl, and she was taken way too soon. Only 7 years old. It was so hard to go thru. Was there a lesson in this? My husband was so heartbroken, he brought home a new puppy the next day. Does she know that she wasn't replaced and that daddy couldn't accept her passing? I know it seems like I have 100 questions but I've never seen a place like this where there is real communication from heaven. Thank you so much for your time.

Mikey will answer in due course but in the order you asked the questions above: yes, yes, yes, yes On the last question my view is that she's being looked after and will be there to greet you on your return rather than "watching over you". She's a dog and a pet's role is different from those of a human.

Can I communicate with her?

Yes when you're together again but in the meantime send out your thoughts to her and she'll receive them.

She was a very special girl, and she was taken way too soon. Only 7 years old. It was so hard to go thru. Was there a lesson in this?

very likely

My husband was so heartbroken, he brought home a new puppy the next day. Does she know that she wasn't replaced and that daddy couldn't accept her passing?

If that was in your husband's heart then that's what she will feel from him.

I know it seems like I have 100 questions but I've never seen a place like this where there is real communication from heaven. Thank you so much for your time.

Carol and Mikey are likely unique in their involvement on ALF. There are probably communications from our loved ones passed over at many times but we likely do not recognise them for what they are. There's a long thread here that may be of interest: http://afterlifeforums.com/threads/signs-and-messages-from-the-other-side.1165/ that can be found in this forum:http://afterlifeforums.com/forums/after-death-communication.4/ about signs and mesages and members are often reporting new ones.

Hello Carol and Mikey,

My question is... How are our thought processes after we leave physicality? Do spiritually advanced people have a quieter mind in the afterlife than the masses?

Here is the background. As Eckhart Tolle says there is a state of consciousness in humans where you are fully conscious without the activity of conceptual thinking, i.e. being present. Most of us are not free of thinking. We don't think, thinking happens to us. 'A Course in Miracles" asks us to "receive instead of plan". By being present we are guided moment by moment by Source. My understanding is that most of the insanity of this world arises from us humans not being able to be present. I am really curious if this dreadful condition of not being able to have a spacious mind is something we only experience in physicality (except if you are awake or enlightened and have transcended the mind). And do you have any suggestions or exercises to quiet the mind.

Thanks,
Arodi
