Interests & Past Lives

So, I was gonna put this in my own thread, but decided to just post a new thread for it. So, I've been wondering of late, just how much significance our deeply-held interests or loves (not relationship-loves) are rooted in our past lives. For instance, I have an extremely deep love of Irish music and culture. I've stated here before, and It was confirmed by a medium, that in my most previous past life, I lived and died as a little girl in Ireland. But I also have a STRONG tie to NYC... all my life, I've felt like that is where my soul's home truly is, and when I first visited it in person, that feeling was reinforced and confirmed, yet, I do not know why, unless somehow, I have some supernatural tie to that place. I have a deep and lifelong interest in the voyages of both the Mayflower pilgrims, and the pioneers of the American westward migration. I've always wanted to be part of both of those journeys myself. Does that mean that in some former life, I was a participant in those events? I'm just wondering if there's any widespread confirmation that our deeply-held interests have any roots in any of our past lives?

Huh. Oddly enough, I also have a deep love for Irish/Celtic music and culture, pretty much always have. If there is any truth to reincarnation, I would not be the least bit surprised if I had at least one life there -- maybe more, in both the distant and not-as-distant past. My sister has a similar strong affinity for New Zealand, which was very much confirmed as soon as she stepped foot there.

Assuming there is an afterlife, and assuming that either reincarnation exists and/or we are able to visit different places on the planet while in spirit form, then I wouldn't doubt that we develop and maintain certain affinities for places and practices, much as we have and develop strong connections to certain soulmates/people.

Can anyone here recommend a reputable person who can do past-life regressions? I’m at the point where I want to give it a try.

You haven't mentioned certainty but there is no more certainty that a previous life took place than there is certainty of survival beyond death. Evidence may feel personally overwhelming of having experienced one or more previous lives but confirmation is hard and proof even harder.

BruceAdama, I would recommend reading Carol Bowman's book Children's Past Lives and then go on from there. She has a website that you could visit, just google Carol Bowman. (not sure if I could post the link). She also does past live regression therapy. She was one of the first author's I found when I started my journey. She used to have a forum as well, but has since closed it down.

When a person experiences something from the past they are connecting to the person who had that experience at that time. That does not mean it was YOUR past life. The past is not lost. Everything is recorded and saved with God as the original timeline. The OT can be accessed by beings with the ability and authorization but it cannot be changed.

The Thought Adjuster inside of you is a fragment of God. The TA does not experience time like you do. All moments, past, present, and future, are the exact same moment to the TA. The TA has to learn by having experience. The TA can and does connect with you and others in different times and sometimes there is a feedback, usually in your dreams when the TA takes your mind out for a spin. Sometimes the feedback is extreme and happens while a person is awake, this is why people are paranoid schizophrenic and see things that the rest of you don't see.

Think of a movie that is on your computer. You can start the movie at any point. You could sit with your friend and watch the movie and say things that are going to happen and the friend will be like "How can you know that?" You know that because you already watched the movie. The same thing is happening in the universe. You cannot connect with beings from the past but your TA can and does.
