Afterlife fears

I've lost quite a few relatives and friends over the years and knowing we'll all be reunited one day gives me great solace too.
After only a few days on this site, I'm beginning to feel much more positive about what I can expect when it's time for me to pass over (and people here are so friendly too!). I hope to learn much more reading posts on the various forums.
I'm pleased it's beginning to help and perhaps as you research a little further you'll find what's being said isn't just folk's personal belief. Much guidance has come from spirit teachers / guides and also from the experiences of those who sometimes return briefly to this world to communicate with their loved ones through evidential (spiritual) mediums. They tell us how it is for them - how it actually is.

That sounds good and I'm looking forward to discovering more. Currently I'm reading some of the Carol and Mikey stuff which is all very interesting. :)

It's a huge thread in several parts as you'll have found. There is much of value in it but also much to wade through and searching for specific details may be the quickest way. :)

Hi Ben's Mum. Thanks for your reply and my condolences to you for the passing of your son. It's great that your firm belief in the afterlife is giving you comfort. I've lost quite a few relatives and friends over the years and knowing we'll all be reunited one day gives me great solace too.

Thank you BiscuitMan for your kind words. Yes, this site is really supportive and, for me, comforting. It feels good to be amongst like and open minds. I found the resources here extremely helpful, as well as the forums. I’d never heard of Silver Birch before but, thanks to Mac, was given the “heads up” to the book “They Shall Be Comforted” by Maurice Barbanell, which I now keep on my bed stand. When you start looking, there is no much information available (just do your due research before buying books though!)

I found Carol and Mikey really interesting and also bought their book “Flying High in Spirit”. I highly recommend.

I certainly will! I have a few Silver Birch books in my collection from many moons ago. I must look them out again as they're very comforting to read: simplistic and beautifully worded. I haven't read "They Shall Be Comforted" but I'll check it out. :)

That book has only become available again in recent months. You'll find enough in the books you're likely to own already.

If you're into books and if you're likely to be interested in what one of our members late son had to say about his passing, then "Flying High in Spirit" is well worth considering. I read it when first published, gave my copy away only to buy a second copy some time later so I could read it again!

His account worked for me and as you'll see if you read more of the Carol and Mikey thread I often quizzed and challenged what he had to say in reply to members' questions and also my own.
