What is the etymology of the silver birch test?

    It's from Silver Birch saying you should subject what he says to the test of reason, and accept only what makes sense.

    SIlver Birch was a discarnate guide/teacher hence wrote no books.

    His communicated words came through his deep-trance medium Maurice Barbanell and were transcribed. Much of his guidance appeared in 'Psychic News' over many years and his teachings have been compiled by various authors and published as books.

    I rarely recommend books but my suggestion is to see which one appeals to you and start with that one.

    I was thinking This is Spiritualism & the philosophy of silver birch by Maurice barbanell. Maybe the barbanell report. As well.
