Healthy New Year

It's the eve of the new year and it's traditional to wish folk a happy one but this time it deserves a different greeting so I'm wishing members and visitors a Healthy New Year.

I hope we will see a world beginning to move away from the trauma of a virus that has killed and is still killing so many, a world where eventually we can be in one another's company without needing personal, protective equipment, a world where we can again make actual contact with friends and family, one in which we can shake hands and hug each other.

 

I've watched our BBC TV coverage of the investiture of now-President Joe Biden. I was impressed by the simplicity of the ceremonies and by Mr Biden's earnestness. I personally extend my best wishes to him and to my American friends. I hope the new presidency brings us all better times.....
