I've enjoyed your posts, Convolution. I notice that in the last book you list you mention that your sister is a medium.

Hi Ruby, yeah, my sister is a medium. She's had some odd experiences, as have I (I don't think I'm a medium, though).
I don't want to derail the topic too much, but she once called my mother from afar, out of nowhere, to tell her to rush home at that moment as something bad was going to happen to my brother. My mother got up from work and headed home immediately. My mother arrived in time to save my brother from asphyxiation. At the hospital, later, where he ended up staying for a couple of weeks, they said he was within seconds-minutes of dying.
She's done her share of work in mediumship, getting introduced to Kardec while in a randomly induced trance state. I don't know a whole lot about it, at this point, but this was not the only instance where my sister exhibited awareness beyond what she "should have had" at the time.

I recall a time when I was young (around 11
years of age) where I dreamt of two cars colliding and my mother woke me up in the middle of that same night and told me that my aunt had been in a car accident. I didn’t go to school that day and we stayed with my aunt that whole day while she was recovering in the hospital. I didn’t tell my mother about the dream because at the time I was so young I didn’t really understand what was going on or wether it was purely coincidence or not. I did tell her later on in life and she wasn’t surprised by it. I’ve had other dreams prior to that about situations that actually happened later on or being in an unfamiliar realm that felt as real as earth. Later on in my life, the premonition dreams, out of body experiences, etc kept getting stronger to the point where I finally opened up to some family members about how I have trouble sleeping at night because I dream about certain things that either actually happen or seem surreal to the point where I sometimes would think about what I just experienced for days on in. It got to the point sometimes where it would interfere with my studies at school. My mom told me to not let it scare me. My dad shrugged it off and told me to keep focusing on school. My friends thought it was interesting and we would read about it at the bookstore or just talk about our dreams in general. I still felt out of place however.

Then luckily after giving birth to my daughter (who was my life saver) and having found these forums, Roberta along with others help to make sense of a lot of things I was experiencing. Being here I was introduced to a lot of great afterlife specialists and folks with similar experiences as I. But anyways I’m trying to avoid rambling which I tend to fail at miserably. Just thought I would share.

Well since we are deleting posts soon, I figured for what it was worth that I try to sound more engaging in conversation. I probably shouldn’t have piggy backed on a post but I thought I would share my experience since I don’t really talk much here anymore and I felt comfortable enough to do it. It was the wrong thread though I admit.......

I wasn't criticising anyone. I just didn't want the thread to move away any further from the original topic while at the same time thinking a new subject might be of interest in a new thread.

Ok. Thanks for elaborating. I’m just very concerned about recent events. Maybe it’s just me needing to let go of things from the past. I’m sorry if I caused a disturbance.
