Assuming, for the sake of argument that in the afterlife, we can visit any place we want, including the other worlds that God has created, wouldn't it be fun to avail yourself of opportunities that come with that which you could never have taken advantage of in your Earthly life, like sampling the foods and drinks from other worlds, or exploring their vistas and cities? I for one would. Anyway, I figured that just because we don't need to eat, doesn't mean we shouldn't, or wouldn't have an opportunity to.
There are lots of things that seem from our perspective as if they would be fun to do. Eating Mars-food is just one of them ;-). Be aware, though, that after we transition we generally have a whole new perspective on everything - and there is so much more to do there that is so much more exciting than anything we ever could have conceived here that we may not still want to do then whatever had looked especially good to us from here. Not that it isn't fun to think about ;-)!

As the Eloisa's experience what happened was that she was a recent arrived and she didnt want to accept the fact that she died because she was soon to marry his boyfriend and wanted to come back to earth, so instead of going to the poeple or authority specialized on that matter all angry she walked away from the city and she landed herself in the dark lower levels where she was attacked but she was found later by his cousin in the borders of the summerland all exhausted and weak...later she recuperated

Later when Andre Luiz went to earth to visit his familiy he walked away but was acompannied with two experienced people

In the books life in the world unseen its said that we shouldnt venture alone in the dark realms without a protector or having studied how to protect us because we can be attacked or get lost there

I like this movie a lot hehe

In the book there are many things not explained in the movie like that once was like a problem with the people who preparated the food, (this remind me of the fact that we keep our personalities, likes and dislikes in the afterlife even if we are stubborns) Im making the story short but there was a reasson why that happened, but the interesting thing

beings from higher spheres descended to teach the persons to absorb nutrients from the atmosphere, and some didnt like it because they said that this was a transitory city and that it wasnt fair to take away the food from their environment...there was a groups of people that didnt want things to change specially the scientists and mathematics ( they are as stubborn like here haha)...for months the eating was reduced to inhalation of nutrients from the atmosphere trough the breathing and water...in the end all was forgiven...

Other part it read that the ill newcomers feelt the necesity to eat..

Well it says something like that I dont want to translate the book its very long

    Sorry for any typos
Thanks, dear Truth Seeker! All of this movie-drama simply would not happen there, I don't think. For one thing, there would be no need to prepare the food since it could simply be thought into being. For another, no one would be doing work that he hadn't chosen and deeply wanted to do in glorious service to other people. For a third, food would never be taken away from those who wanted it; and I have never seen any hint that the absorption of energy from plants and water was not automatic, rather than something to be taught. This book and its movie seem to be far more earth-like in these details than anything that the afterlife evidence portrays!

It's wonderful that you enjoy the movie, dear friend! Please just be aware of the ways in which it differs from what we learn from the afterlife evidence, and then by all means go on enjoying it. We all have movies that we know are not especially realistic, but still we love them just the same! (For me, it's Avatar - go figure ;-).)

Hi Roberta! yes theres a few things that seem odd, buts they are the minority, when I watched it for the first time I was so excited because like 90 % of what we talk here everyday was present in the movie, so I was watching how all the descriptions of the afterlife became to life (no pun intended) . I think is the most acurrate afterlife movie out there...it so beatiful I hope you could watch it someday..

Chico Xavier its who channeled the book, he wrote 400 books , 14 from Andre Luis, he was like a true saint that didnt fool people to make a cent he donated ALL the money to charity and was nominated 2 times for the Peace Nobel Prize.....So there are 13 other books from Andre Luiz describing how things work up there

As soon as I find work, I do hope to buy some of his books, and read them... this movie has aroused a lot of interest and questions in me, and to me, that's the mark of any good film... one that stimulates you to think about things and ask questions.

In my worldview, we create (or co-create with our spiritual guides) our own life and afterlife based on our individual beliefs which are flavored by our society. So the afterlife could be different for everyone. This would explain the inconsistencies among the many sources of afterlife evidence. But there is a key concept that most of the evidence is consistent on: "If you want a Good afterlife, be Good in this life".

I tend to largely agree with this... at least, I would like to think it is true.

Just another example of how great minds think alike!
