Ok, i hope im not being a nuisance, if someone has already had a thread like this i apologize. ( i haven't seen any yet) but I know that using ouija board is dangerous, as is auto writing. however, what is your thoughts on hands off electronics? OLIVIA and the Ghost box? if you just have it sitting out there not touching it, can any spirits use it? or do you have to give them permission to? can you say " i only want so-and-so to use this! sometimes i wonder about the energy it requires for them to physically interact with our plane. sometimes i watch ghost hunter shows, they seem to be under the impression that if you put a battery of some sort the spirit can convert it to energy( by draining it) to then use it to interact with our realm. as for cold spots...drawing heat energy for the same purpose? when things go bump in the night, why is it seem like its always a room away? (i wonder if we take up too much energy being in the same area OR they just like to see us run from room to room!) also...im just full of questions, they seem silly but do the spirits take offense to being called ghosts? would they rather be referred to as a spirit? i heard this once but i cant remember where i heard it from.

wanted to get your thoughts on this. Would never want to offend anyone....living or passed.

I have never heard of such a thing. Though I don't watch shows like that.
As far as Mikey is concerned, he likes to be called Mikey because that is who he is! I think the term "ghost" may refer to a spirit that is "earthbound".

This is too big a jumble of questions and ideas to answer.

Break things down, focus on what you're most interested in, ask just two or three questions first and the answers may help other issues to fall into place in your thoughts. I'll help.

In general, dear GoodOmen:

1) Don't attempt to communicate via any means without taking proper precautions. We are told that every potential means of communication (whether a sensitive human, a Ouija board, or even a box of some sort) acts as a beacon to dead entities of every stripe. So surround yourself and the box with white spiritual light, say a prayer for protection, and call to your loved one - and if you have the slightest hint that you have snared anyone else, turn it off at once!

2) Electrical energy is not spiritual energy, but apparently it can be used by entities that are themselves now spiritual energy. This is all quite well established.

3) I don't know what might be going bump in the night in your case, so it is hard to answer this particular question. If it is an earthbound being, it may not even be aware of you - it just is going about its business, which happens to be occurring in a different room.

4) I don't think the spirits care what we call them! Remember that there are a number of kinds of spiritual entities: earthbound beings, loved ones who have safely transitioned, and various forms of ascended spirits. They are each so different from one another that no one term could apply to all of them. As Mikey says, if you are referring to a dead loved one - the only non-material beings you ought to be communicating with, anyway - then it is best to just use their names!

Forgot your cold-spot question, dear friend. I have wondered about this, too! My working hypothesis has been that the non-material levels are colder in earth terms than this material level, although those who live there don't perceive them as cold, so when spirits are here we perceive the spot where they are as cold. But you offer an interesting alternative explanation. Do those who manifest on this level do it by using the heat-energy in the spot that they are occupying, so we here perceive cold spots? Is that the explanation?? Hmmm....

sorry about all these questions. I guess its just the years of pondering that I was so excited to finally get the courage to ask. but I am thankful for you, taking the time to answer them. its not to many people out there that i know want to or can discuss such sensitive topics.
