    Time and lower levels-

I haven't really made a post in a good time and I've been terribly busy with two young ones and my new job so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Assuming of course that time is an illusion and that in the afterlife it doesn't exist, could we not stay in the lower levels essentially, well, forever? On the notion of course that we just feel like it?

    Hi LachlanMac

The short answer to your question would be no.

Nothing is at rest, and whether the perception is to remain at a particular level forever, spiritually everything is returning to the source and will ultimately reach that point.

Actually, I have to disagree with Fasaga's comment.

We can remain on a lower level or indeed any level if we decide this is what we want. However, by doing this we limit or rather stop our spiritual progression or evolvement. When we are in the afterlife we will eventually see the whole picture and purpose of our being. It is then we realise that there is much more to our being and in order for us to learn and grow we naturally want to advance through the many levels of the afterlife.
It's not what happens to us that matters but how we handle what happens to us

Assuming we were to "just feel like it" - as we might believe we might feel - then there'd be no coercion to do anything different.

BUT - there's always a big but with me - from what I've learned from sources I respect, a notion that sits comfortably with me is that our natural desire is to progress spiritually and to make our way back home, so to speak. We wouldn't normally want to stay
in the so-called lower levels longer than what would be right for us individually. Perhaps if there were a special reason we would.

Time's not an illusion but neither is it an issue - forever is forever.....

    Good thoughts so far.

I don't know how I feel about the concept of time. I reckon it's a touchy subject because of the complexity but there must, in my opinion, be some linear coexistence between the afterlife and our universe for us to even communicate with those who have passed on. I suppose maybe when we hear that there is no time it's because it doesn't matter anymore. As you said; Forever is forever.

Looking back on how I asked my question, I think the underlying cause goes back to what we have spoken about before on these forums and the "end goal" of the afterlife to me seems to be essentially winking out of existence. I hope is a misinterpretation by me, though.

I feel there's way too much concern about the theoretical stuff concerning time - I leave it to minds infinitely more capable than mine. I'm happy enough to contemplate the stuff I can understand, stuff that has everyday impact.

As humankind, living presently in this physical dimension, time is wholly relevant and important to us. There's gonna be a shed load of stuff we'll understand one day in our futures (if we wish to) after we've left the physical dimension. Agonising about one aspect - time - and whether it's linear or curved or whatever seems, to me, much ado about nothing.

I have no concerns, or doubts, about 'winking out of existence'. It ain't happened to me in past lives so I'm surely not concerned about it this time!

If that kind of a future is attractive to others then I sincerely hope a similar level of reassurance will come your way one day.

Mikey tells me he agrees with Skye. If an "individual" or soul wants to stay at the lower level, they can. The soul has the ability or opportunity to progress if desied. In Heaven, love is the focus, so the general desire is to progress in this love to a higher vibration. But occasionally a soul may choose not to.
Mikey continues to say that "time" gives "order" to events on earth. It gives progression. Time is needed for organization on earth. In Heaven, everything "just is". Mikey says consider Heaven (or whatever term you choose to use) as always here and always loving!

But even if a soul winds up on level 1 or 2 and wants to stay there, doesn't that soul get rescued at some point? I thought I had heard it on here that eventaully everyone gets rescued.
All cats are the spawn of Satan.

    I agree.

Mikey tells me the soul can "choose " to stay if they want to. We are eternal so the desire may change. Love is the focus and the attempt to guide is there. But with some souls, it is what they desire: low love. (Just one opinion.)

Carol, thanks for the response. I had a quick question, though; Is not progression part of heaven, as well? Or do we just not need to organize it the same way?
