    1) I am not afraid of death, but am afraid of having a painful death. I'm not afraid of death, because if there is nothing afterwards, then I'm not going to know, and if there is, which I suspect there is, then I'm going on to having a great time.

    2) to me, an afterlife is important, so as to make sense of the life I'm having now. Also in order to answer all my questions on life.

    3) I don't quite understand what you mean by which afterlife I would choose. To me, there is only one afterlife we all go to when we die, or for a better word, pass over. There are different levels according to our spiritual progress. Reincarnation, to me, is not another afterlife, but a choice we make if we wish to come back to the earth plane.
Great minds must think alike, your answers almost match mine completely. Except I'd also add for Question #2 that I'd like to reconnect with loved ones long passed and those of my "currently alive" family when it's their time. I would also love meeting people from all different times, it fascinates me to think this is a possibility if there is an afterlife.

    Hi Matty Mo

I think our answers then would have been the same, because after I posted my answer, I realised that I'd left out that most important part for me from question 2. I also very much want to reconnect with all my family and friends that have already passed on. Especially my mother, who I miss so much.

Hello Emma. Have you ever had a truly peaceful nights sleep without any dreams that you recall? What could be better than eternal peace? The afterlife would have to be pretty amazing to beat that. The various contradictory interpretations one reads, suggests it is not always a place of universal happiness.
I've had quite a few of those nights sleep lately, and waking up is such a disappointment,so Oblivian is what I would choose over continued existence, if it wasn't for my desire to meet with my recently deceased wife, so that I could find out why she left so suddenly.
Afraid of death? No, as long as the process of dying wasn't excrutiatingly painful. To be frank, the main reason I am still alive is the fear that if I take matters in my own hands, I may have to return and start all over again!Arrgh! 60 odd years and one time only is quite enough thanks.
    Bill.

Are you afraid of death? if so why? and if not why?
No, I actually embrace it since I know it will be the next adventure in my journey.

What, in your own opinion, is important about having an afterlife?
Being reunited with friends and relatives that have moved on before myself. Also learning more about the universe in general.

If you could choose your own afterlife, which path would you choose and why?
Definitely not reincarnation, haha. I'd live for eons in a blissful recreation of an Earth perfected and travel the universe for awhile. Slowly moving up to higher vibrations as I feel inclined to do so.

    I'm with you.

I would keep things just the way they are. I wouldn't even realize that I died. With only one difference: Each day I would notice without a doubt that the world is becoming a better place with more harmony and lovingkindness for everyone. In time there would be no more hunger, no more disease, no more war. And I would have played a small part in making it a better world. Until the old world was just a dim memory. And finally, there would be no more death.

Maybe that is exactly what is happening to me/us right now?

I'm not afraid of death if it means having a great and fufilling life at a very old age. The same goes for my loved ones. What I am afraid of is life being cut short, pain, etc.

What, in your own opinion, is important about having an afterlife?
Like most people, it's being with all the people I love and care about. Re-connecting with them looking back on memories and having a good ol time together forever.

If you could choose your own afterlife, which path would you choose and why?
Same with the person above DEFINITELY NOT REINCARNATION unless I can 1. reincarnate with loved ones with the same roles example: not have my partner be my daughter in a next life lmfao 2. Plan my life or for it to be better
I'm agnostic so I don't mind there being nothing after death. This used to scare me but now that I think about it it's kind of peaceful. Ideally I'd wish there to be an eternity of heaven and bliss with my loved ones but it's very difficult to imagine such a place to exist.

I have always been very curious about death and the afterlife and yes i am not afraid to admit I am scared of death, not so much dying but what happens once we have deceased. I refuse to believe we die and there is nothing afterwards, there HAS to be something afterwards. Now as I'm sure most of the people on this forum will know there are a lot of different types of 'Afterlives' and by afterlife i mean heaven, reincarnation, ghosts, uptopia and all other afterlives religious or not, or even your own personal afterlife. so here are my questions which i hope you can answer.

    Hi Emma!

    Welcome to our Afterlife Forum!

    Now to answer your questions.......

I'm absolutely NOT afraid of death!
I know that death does NOT mean extinction, and there is an Afterlife.....(I should say that there is THE Afterlife!)
I say this because this is all a matter of EVIDENCE.......NOT mere belief! Really GREAT people like our own Roberta Grimes and Victor Zammit (and many, many others) have continually demonstrated through their research that THE Afterlife EXISTS!!!!!

The important thing about having THE Afterlife is that we can continue to grow spiritually and intellectually, and hopefully be able to help Humankind (still on the Earthplane) reap some benefit from the progress we in THE Afterlife would make.

Now, if I could choose my own Afterlife, there's a LOT that I'd LOVE to do!
First and foremost, I'd love to reunite with members of my family and extended family, and go back to doing all sorts of neat things....like Kitemaking and Kiteflying with my Mom for example.
I'm interested in working in some capacity, to try improving communications with our fellow Humans on the Earthplane.
I'd like to get into "spiritual rescue", to help people in the lowest, darkest levels to join the rest of our human family in the Summerland.
I want to explore the Afterlife....to visit beings from other worlds...to learn about them, their histories, their art, literature, music, food, what it's like to "Be" one of them!
Why???...............'cuz I think it would be soooooo cool!!!!

    "Kitefully" yours,
    Chuck
