Katie Couric's show today on Heaven

Did any of you get a chance to watch the talk show today with Katie Couric on Heaven on ABC? (I hope I am spelling her name correctly.) Anyway, it was so awesome! She had some interesting folks on the show! Poeticblue, they had this young girl on there who draws visions she has of Heaven. It was quite amazing. You need to see the full hour of the show to get the complete message. I will say, after watching this, I don't know how anyone can doubt that there is something beyond life here! That we do live on! Check it out! It will be worth your time!

Thanks for letting us know, Carol. I googled it, and some of the show can be found here.

I didn’t get any chance to watch the live talk show or any concert. Thanks to Bella for sharing this link.

To me it seems an odd way to learn about survival but spreading the word in such a public way is an enormously efficient way to reach a huge audience so my response is "why not"?

But that's just the first stage and what's needed next is a smaller-scale, less impersonal approach where the individual feels like it's a message that can apply to her/him and not just to the 'special', talented, seemingly chosen person(s) who appear on national TV programmes.

And that's where the difficulty begins....

And in painfully small increments ... the Message is getting out via mass media. There will be plenty who dismiss it ... but I would wager that there could be a sizable amount who just start to think, look more into it, and believe.

    Thanks for posting the link!

Thank you for the link. This is very interesting. Katie said she was read by John Edwards, but I think she meant John Edward. John Edwards is the politician. I've read a book by John Edward and Edward is actually his middle name but he uses it for his last.

Thanks for posting Carol and thanks for the link Bella. I will definitely watch. I didn't know Teresa Caputo was (Long Island Medium) was featured, very cool, I watch all her shows.

Slowly but surely the Message is getting out there! Media (though not always accurate) is a big way for many. I do agree with Mac that a personal experience really is a huge piece as well, but a show like this could open some eyes that were initially closed tight to the concept. I particularly liked the interview from the doctor who had the NDE. She was not very "religious" but her experience was amazing without what I would consider any "pre-influences". Her experience made her more "accepting" of her situation in being able to deal with the loss of a child . I will say, knowing what I know with what I have experienced does make it "soften" a bit. I know without a doubt I will see my son again! And I know he is in a wonderful place of love! It helps me to see a show like this. Gives me confirmation. I also loved the drawings the young girl did. How could a child so young draw so amazingly well? Artist from a previous life? Gives the hint of reincarnation a bit! Certainly she is getting the visions from somewhere too! Barbara Walters did a show recently about Heaven, but I felt this one had more impact.... at least for me!
All of this increases awareness which is good!

    Hi Carol and Mikey

After watching the media in the US operate for decades, I look at the "message getting out there" in any forceful, meaningful way similarly to how I view their likely hood of reporting on anything they are specifically told not to, not going to happen until it's shoved down their throats.

The media in the United States is without a doubt a manipulated and controlled organization. We will hear only what they want us to unless it can't be avoided. Big Pharma the AMA, and the government are all heavily involved in the profit and manipulation involved in death and fear of death. (Whether it's deliberate or not is irrelevant.) How far will people go not to die, how much will they spend? Will they mortgage all their property to get dad the surgery, after all he's got a 50% chance how can we not?

And while the media may throw the pubic a bone here and there attempting to appear to be a legitimate, for an unbiased source of information, we have no choice now but to go around them. We've got so many obstacles and even Religion is working against us. Are you going to mortgage all the equity in your house if you go to paradise when you die and leave your family destitute?

Like you said what we appear to be left with is a slow increasing awareness in the population.. So many people out there just aren't interested. Go figure. And then again I'm pretty sure many sea creatures possess more measurable intelligence than 30% of the current US population, surely Whales and Dolphins do anyway.

Having spent half my time in the USA over the past eight years, and having seen way too much American TV for my own good, I can understand your feelings. But in terms of the survival message, even our comparatively good mass-media service is no better than your own fragmented and commercially controlled one.

And in terms of survival interest, folk will be interested in what interests them and even if the subject were well presented, you can lead a horse to water etc. When I read that someone is interested in an NDE account, I wonder if that's all they're interested in. It's a similar situation with physical mediumship where interest may be more in the phenomena than in the deeper significance....

Ive tried my best over several years to engage folk online but even in locations which, at least nominally, are about this specific subject, interest is usually limited and patchy. I always wonder if an early interest develops into anything more productive.
