but was it? Sorry I'm such a stick in the mud; always doubt myself, the messages I receive; don't know what it's going to take to remove all doubt:(
Well, I would like to share with you a dream I had a while back, a dream that involved my daughter's ex-boyfirend who died unexpectedly at the age of 29. Jared's favorite mode of communication was text messaging, but we never did communicate that way. In fact, after he and my daughter split up, only my husband continued to talk with him, visit, etc. There were absolutely no hard feelings between us, but I really did not have much in common with him; nevertheless he felt like a son to us and deep down I hoped he and my daughter would patch things up... I know he still loved her very much.

I've had a few "weird" dreams about Jared, and here is one of them. I remember once, when he was still alive, that I used a certain adjective to refer to a person, and he thought that was so very funny, it sort of became our little secret word that would crack us up every time. Nobody else, besides my husband, knows/knew the word.
In my dream, I am in a room I do not recognize, standing by a window. To my right side is the "usual" female presence (which I'm beginning to think is one of my spirit guides). She hands me a cell phone and it's a message from Jared. It's a rather long message, but I do not remember it; what I do remember, however, is the funny word that he kept repeating in his text to me. I remember thinking, "Why does he keep saying this word?". Then here comes a second message, but all it read was "Later". End of dream.

As I said, I never texted back and forth with Jared, not even once. I have no patience with text messages, I'd rather make a phone call, lol
When I mentioned the dream to my daughter and especially when I told her about the "Later" text message, she sort of freaked out; she said, "Omg, Mom, didn't you know that's how Jared always ended his messages??" Nope, I didn't know.

Do you think this was a genuine ADC?

Hi Ravensgate

While there is no way to absolutely rule out any other form of psychic contribution to your dream, I believe what you have descibed is an ADC. Do these things happen often to you?

Oh, goodness, yes, they do and I wish they didn't, lol
Do you want to hear of a real weird one? Had it a year ago or so. Ok, I am flying, not on an aircraft, but it's me, my body, flying, and to my right is another being, got the feeling it was a male presence. We are flying over the earth and he directs my attention to a particular area. It's as if I am looking at the land from thousands of feet above. This land has an odd shape; it looks like a triangle jutting into a body of water, but there is land on both sides. The being flying with me is showing me a lot of strife among people there, and then I just wake up.

Spent the next few days thinking about this dream and finally went to look in my atlas; the region we were flying over was the Suez Canal area, with Egypt on one side and Jardan and South Arabia on the other. Weird, huh?

Oh, I should add that whenever these beings appear in my dreams, it's as if they are there to teach me and to show me things.

Hi ravensgate,

It sounds very likely that these beings you feel the presence of are your spirirt guides. For the first dream it definitely sounds like it could be a spirit communication, given that you remember so much of it, and especially the way the text message ended! For the second dream, it sounds like perhaps you remembered a nightly visit with your spirit guide. Roberta says that communication dreams usually involve "normal physics" (i.e., not flying like you were). But that dream very well could be you remembering an out of body experience guided by one of your spirit guides. Or it could be just a dream. :) Hard to say on that one.

WOW, I wonder if there is significance to the region to your past lives possibly. I know it is easy to make all the pieces fit into whatever you want but I don't believe in coincidences, and would you have had any logical reason for imagining that area in your dream.

I know sometimes if I want to have a specific dream, about going surfing for instance, because I don't get the time or opportunity much these days, I set my mind to it before going to sleep and find myself at the perfect point break.

Yes, it seems like an ADC. That’s great. But I haven’t experienced any ADC.

One of the most common kinds of ADC involves hearing or reading some word or phrase that you were not aware was commonly used by the dead person but somebody else is able to validate. Your receiving the word "Later" from Jared was absolutely an ADC! And it likely was meant for both you and your daughter, dear Ravensgate. Pretty neat, I'd say!
