Hi everyone! We have decided to create a thread where you all could post suggestions for the glossary section of our website. Please feel free to offer any input you have in this thread. Thank you!

I was thinking that we should have a sticky post called read this before posting that contains many questions that get repeated as such as:

who is mikey? his story
why we have to suffer? why god dont do something about it?
why people suicide?
will I be able to see my relatives in the other life before they choose to reincarnate?

etc,etc :-)

Stickies are OK but there would need to be a fair number to cover the regularly asked questions. It might be better to create a reference section, perhaps in the form of a downloadable booklet?

Anyone got the time, skill and enthusiasm to compile what's needed?

Great suggestions Mac and Truthseeker! I am in the process of corresponding with the other administrators about what would be the best course of action, but we all seem to agree that a FAQ section is needed. It is likely that we will make a sticky for Carol & Mikey, since they are such a massive part of our community, but I agree with Mac that it would be too many stickies, if we created one for every question.

What I am thinking, is that we will change this category into a reference one, so that we can post all the FAQ here. Either that, or we will build on the FAQ page that we already have.

If it is possible then we can make a different section for Carol and Mikey. Both are the important part of Afterlife Forums.

What exactly do you mean by "section"? If you mean a category for them, such as the "Religion, Spirituality, and the Meaning of Life" category, then that seems a little impractical. Apparently, having too many categories can overwhelm members. Mac has created a sticky though, where you can ask them questions.

I guess that is good. I have seen the sticky created by Mac in “Communicating with the dead section”.

Thank you all for your wonderful ideas! I was away last week, and back at my desk today, but what you all are saying makes sense - just give us a couple of days. And please keep your suggestions coming!!

The 'sticky' thread may work OK but might need some editing and organising to try to avoid answers being verbose and also to ensure they're to the point.....

Postings can be like conversation - points can get missed, too many words may lead to important points getting submerged. But it's a 'work-in-progress' and we have a potentially useful resource.

I agree, Mac. We are working, right now, on creating a thread in the "Helpful Information" category that will answer the more common questions about Carol and Mikey. When that's done, we'll probably post a link to it in your thread for them.
