Any thoughts or research about Doppelgangers?

Mikey tells me "doppelgangers" do not exist. "Ghosts" are individual souls. Mikey tells me the term ghost is used for earth bound spirits or souls. They are not "counterparts" to a living person. Souls are "individuals". This concept of "doppelgangers" is not accurate according to Mikey.

Hi! Carol, when Mikey says that "doppelgängers" do not exist, does he mean that the doppelgängers that people see are not real, in the sense that they are not sentient/tangible/whatever, or does he mean that people don't actually see that at all? In other words, is the phenomenon of seeing a copy of yourself just a hoax, or are people misunderstanding what they are seeing. Thanks!

Mikey tells me it is not real. This phenomenon is an illusion. It is an illusion of "someone" who is not in Heaven.
(To be honest, I never heard of this type of thing before it was posted. )

Ok, thanks for clarifying that!

I agree with Mikey that there is no evidence that the doppelganger phenomenon is real. I have, however, read a few hints that on very rare occasions we might be living overlapping lifetimes, so technically the same being is on earth at the same time but living two different lifetimes. Don't know if that is possible, but if it can happen then what if the two people were to meet? Or maybe fall in love? Would they be especially attracted? Would they recognize one another? It blows your mind to think about it!

(Actually, I am more or less kidding. I really have read in a couple of places very similar allusions to this phenomenon, but in both cases it was said that the beings living overlapping lives never would meet one another. Remember how carefully our guides take care of us!)

Hi Roberta! It does make sense that the same being in two bodies would never be allowed to meet, but what if they did? Would they be attracted? It is an interesting question. Ultimately though, I suppose that this is the case with all of us. We are all Mind, and Mind is all of us so, by transitive logic (as they call it in geometry) we are each other. This is true at our most natural level but I suppose it would be more visible in two people who were literally the same.

Hello everyone. This is my first post after a few days of lurking and reading here in the afterlifeforums. I became interested about after life since my wife died about two years ago. I've learned a lot in the few days i've been here and I'm so glad to have found this site. I'm from the Philippines and I'm not sure if we have others here who live in Asia or nearby.

BTT. Regarding what Roberta brought up about split or parallel incarnation, I've also read it somewhere but couldn't recall exactly where. Some believe that there are group soul or collective souls aside from individual souls. And these group souls are capable of sending multiple sub-souls and reincarnate at the same time. I find it hard to believe though but it's still a possibility. I would like to hear what Mikey can say about this.

Thanks.

Mike is absolutely right. I also don’t think that doppelgangers exist.

Welcome aboard Graphire! It is an interesting place here no doubt! Lots of different afterlife discussions and information for sure!
In regards to your question, Mikey tells me in Heaven we have different soul groups. We often "travel' in these groups to work on life lessons together. We reincarnate as "individual souls or beings". We do not "split or divide" from ourselves. These souls are individual and stay "individual".

I read about the soul group thing before and it makes sense. Sometimes I can meet someone and instantly hit it off right away with them. No awkwardness or anything and alot of the times when I meet someone new that I become good friends with they teach me valuable things. Very interesting. My ex-boyfriend who is also a good friend of mines, always told me that he has felt like we've been through the same scenario before but at a different moment in time. He would also tell me about the dreams that he had where we were different ethnicities located in a different country and decade. (I took it with a grain of salt. He was on medication at the time) But being who I am now, and looking back on it... he may have been onto something. I always would joke with him and say "Hey it didn't work out this time around. We will just try again in the next life lol" Who knows, I've probably been saying the exact same thing 10 lives ago! That never went well with him of course. :p

He may well have been on to something there, dear PoeticBlue! I know that I have a certain affinity for Great Britain, despite being an american. Everything about 16th Century English culture seems perfectly natural to me, even though I know that some of it makes no sense whatsoever. For example, the monarchy. I understand and believe that there is no point in having a complete monarchy, because it will just lead to abuse of the people but, in terms of Henry VIII, I feel a link of absolute love and loyalty to him, despite all the terrible stuff he did.

It's hard to explain. I know what makes sense today, but I also still feel connected to the values of that time.

I think you are right, Jenniechan! It seems that, as Carol and Mikey say above, what people are seeing are not actually real beings - they are just illusions.
