Mrs. Grimes - I really like your ideas about the afterlife, but so far I haven't had a chance to buy your book, so I hope you don't mind me asking about things you probly already cover there. :o

Almost two years ago my little brother Jacob committed suicide. Turns out he was really depressed, but living apart from the rest of us made it hard to tell how bad it was. My parents are really strict Catholic (my dad almost became a priest before meeting my mom) and really got hit hard by Jake's death since they believe suicides can never get to heaven. In my heart I know theres no way a loving God could be so cruel, since Jake was always a good person and toward the end he just got into a situation where he felt like he had no way out. Is there any way I can confirm that Jake's okay, or at least reassure my folks? :(

How awful - I am so sorry about your loss and the pain that it has caused! But indeed God does love suicides like Jake just as much as God loves all the rest of us. Afterlife evidence strongly suggests that what trips us up in the afterlife is not having done any particular bad thing, but instead it is just feeling guilty. Some suicides feel tremendous guilt, while others feel no guilt at all; and if they feel very guilty, they can sentence themselves to the miserable lowest afterlife level (what Jesus called the "outer darkness"). Children and young adults who kill themselves seem not to have this problem, however, and my hunch is that a good person like your brother very likely escaped this fate. He is most likely fine. If you want reassurance, you might try to contact him through one or more reputable mediums - if you cannot get a message from him that proves nothing, but if you feel that you have made contact with him then he is certainly just fine. Check the Windbridge Institute's (http://windbridge.org/) website for a list of tested and proven mediums.

VioletRose, God is far more loving and forgiving than even your most optimistic hopes! I have found no evidence at all in decades of looking for it that God ever judges or condemns anyone. Instead, each of us is our own afterlife judge. Send Jake frequent loving and supportive thoughts, and know that since he is in mind-contact with you, he will be comforted by your constant love for him.

Thank you. I'll look into seeing a medium, and if possible I'll try to get my folks to come along :)
