Hi everyone.

Last night I had a dream. I dreamt of my mother. I should mention that my mother passed away a month ago due to breast cancer. Anyway, in this dream I can only recall two things: my mother looked relatively young (in her 40s or early 50s) and I was trying to tell her that she had to use the cell phone to call a friend of her. The other thing I remember was telling my mother that she only had a few seconds to try to communicate with this friend because otherwise it would be impossible to do it.
Now, I know that this doesnīt make much sense and that the information conveyed is very little. As I said, I donīt remember anything else. My question, if some of you would care to put forward some explanations, is whether this is just a product of my subconscious mind, i.e., of missing my mother, or could this somehow be an attempt to contact me. In the last few years Iīve also had dreams with my aunt and uncle who also died. I remember that in those dreams, after a while, I ended up asking myself how could they be there if they were dead. Do you think this question is just some sort of wishful thinking because of the things I have been reading on this subject lately?

Hi HopeSeeker! It's hard to tell whether or not other people's dreams are communications, but here are some common signs that indicate a communication dream. See if they match up with what you remember about your dream:

1. It is clear and vivid in your head:
Most dreams that are indeed communication dreams are extremely vivid, and they remain that way in your mind. For example, most people forget their dreams (if they ever even remembered them) by the time they are done with breakfast. Communication dreams, however, can stay vivid in your mind for years! If it is still very clear in your mind, then it is likely that it was communication dream.

2. A message is conveyed:
Normally a message is conveyed from the deceased to the living. That message could just be simple hug to symbolize love, or something that shows that the deceased is ok. Sometimes the meaning is immediately clear to the recipient, both sometimes it takes days or even weeks to fully understand it. Your dream is a little odd in that you are trying to communicate something to your mother.

3. Physics:
In communication dreams, the physics of the dream are typically the same as on earth. In other words, you are not floating around in the air. Instead, you are standing, sitting, or in some other position that could be done on earth. Most dreams that involve floating and walking through the air are just imagined by the mind.

I would say that this is indeed a communication dream from your mother. The fact that she was young in the dream points to communication dream as well. Almost everyone in the Summerland (unless they died young) looks younger than they were when they died. The fact that she died only a month ago is also another indication of a contact dream. Our dead loved ones seem to contact us within the first the year of death most of the time. Sometimes it is in the hours after the death, and sometimes it doesn't happen for years after, but generally it happens within one year, whether we notice it or not.

I would go with your gut on this one, dear HopeSeeker. I cannot give you a definite answer because I am not you. Deep down, you know if it was really her or not. Go with your instinct, dear friend! Like I said, I am almost certain that it is indeed a contact dream, that's not what's important. What's important is what you think!
