View Full Version : An interesting story

My cousin recently told me about a weird incident from his early childhood, and it seemed perfect for the crowd on these boards :) It goes like this:

Not long before he was born, our mutual grandmother passed away and left his family several pieces of old Victorian-era furniture, including an ornate bed frame. My aunt and uncle moved that in as their own bed, and when my cousin was born it eventually became obvious that he had a strong personal attachment to that bed. That would be nothing amazing by itself, but when he started talking around the age of two he would always call that bed "my bed," even though he had his own bedroom at that point. When his parents tried to correct him by pointing out that it came from his grandmother, he matter-of-factly declared that it was his bed "from when [he] was big."

I dunno about you, but that sounds like something I would expect to hear in a past-lives situation. Sent a chill down my spine to hear it, and according to my aunt it's completely true.

Hi VioletRose! What a wonderful story! It does sound as though your cousin is in fact your grandmother's incarnation. It is entirely possible that she reincarnated rather quickly. Does your cousin have any other traits that are unexplainably similar to hers?

Normally, after death, people take some time off to relax and have fun, but is possible that your grandmother chose to get right back to work. It is also possible that she accidentally reincarnation. I'm not sure exactly how common that is, but it does happen. Most of the time, it is when someone dies an unplanned death. That person can easily panic and sort of take over the fetus of a passing pregnant woman. I don't know how your grandmother died, or if your cousin's mother was pregnant when she died, but that could certainly be one way to explaining it.

Of course, as I said above, it is entirely possible that she just chose not to wait to reincarnate. You see, we are all part of soul groups, close eternal friends that stick together in most life times. It is entirely normal to go from being the mother to the son, it just normally doesn't happen so quickly!

That really is an amazing story though! Thank you very much for sharing it!

That is really interesting! I did once listen to a seance where the spirit said you can reincarnate as quickly as you want to. I know it's rare, since of course most of us want to enjoy some time in the Summerland, but some people want to come right back. That being said, is there any possibility someone owned the bed before your grandmother did, like maybe her parents?

Now that's an interesting thought, dear Annie! If the bed has been passed down for generations, your cousin could be the reincarnated soul of any of the owners!

That's something I was also wondering about, actually. I've asked my aunt and uncle for more information about the original owner(s) of that bed, or any similar incidents from my cousin's childhood, but neither of them could remember anything useful. As for my cousin, he gave me the strangest look when I suggested he might be the reincarnation of our grandmother XD
