Hello everyone! I have so many things I want to say. This may not be exactly about the afterlife but theres so much I have knowledge of now and it seems like what I believed my whole life was a lie. Most of things revolve around the fact that aliens do exist (some to help, some to harm), that we can have out of body experiences to other worlds, that the lord may be coming in my lifetime, that all these spiritual revelations may be happening at this moment, and that our government has purposely betrayed us for power and money. I feel so much fear for my family, especially my children. I hate this world for all the things it is and I wish I had known before hand what I subjected my children to. I do not want them to go on in a world of suffering, filled with idiots who stand for serving the world with evil intentions.
There are so many things that I have heard about what happens when you die. I know the only ones who can tell me for fact are those experiencing an afterlife, if there is one, and they cant tell me anything. Maybe its bending the rules of spiritual awareness or something but I have to know what to do.
Are we really descendants of an alien race and we will be taken back by our ancestors? will there be an alien invasion or a "government" alien invasion where we will be enslaved and live a lifetime as test subjects? will satan come out of the earth and enslave us? will we die and become energy in the universe or will we be stuck here in this cruel world life after life after life, forced to always be enslaved in some way? will I disappear and become a lost spirit or wandering soul? what am I supposed to believe anymore when there are so many theories that are possibilities!
What will I be able to do to ensure my children dont suffer through whatever is to come in this world? How can I protect them if writing these very things makes my chest hurt and my heart pound? Is there something out there that will set me free? genuinely free.

There is nothing to fear. Have you read "The Fun of Dying?" I highly recommend it. It is a great intro to afterlife information and evidence, and the appendix gives many, many resources. There is evidence for what happens in the afterlife. You can also take a look at the Resources section on http://funofdying.com/ to find out more. Please read and post in these forums, there are some very knowledgeable people here!

ProtectUs, dear wonderful friend, thank you for sharing your fears with us here! I don't have much time now, but just as dear Birki has reassured you above, there are others here who will be eager to help you. For now, please be assured that:
1) Every question that you have asked has answers that are based in evidence - and all the answers are wonderful! The fact that neither mainstream science nor mainstream religions have cared about this evidence makes it no less valuable. They just mean we have to dig for it. And over two centuries, careful researchers have done the digging and given us their results. You and I stand on the shoulders of giants!
2) You and your children are absolutely safe in Everlasting Arms. You will need to do some research of your own in order to really satisfy yourself, but in fact you and everyone you love are all powerful eternal beings, and each of you is the best-beloved child of an infinitely loving Mind. "Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Therein lies the peace of God." (A Course in Miracles)
- Thank you for joining us, dear wonderful ProtectUs. We are going to have such fun together!

Hi Protect Us! Welcome to the Afterlife Forums. Please realize that there is really nothing to fear at all, dear friend! In short, I can tell you that this whole life is basically a school and there is a loving God and a perfectly blissful afterlife. At some point in this post, I'll attempt to prove that you, but first let me address your concerns:
1. Aliens:
Aliens to exist. There are many planets that are capable of supporting sentient, intelligent life. Some of these beings are so simple that we wouldn't even think of them as living. For example, one planet reportedly contains a type of sentient rocks. Most, if not all, aliens however are benevolent. There is actually some afterlife evidence that points to the fact that modern humans are a mix between primitive humans (i.e. homo erectus) and a much more advanced alien species. That's a little sketchy, and there isn't too much to support it, but I still consider it a possibility. There is nothing to worry about though. There is absolutely no evidence that suggests that we will have to return to these ancestors. We will not have to live out life as slaves or tests subjects. I'm sure that the government is far from honest with everything they do, but this simply is not possible. Please, do not worry about this, my friend! No one is going to enslave you, your family, or anyone else!
2. Evil:
Evil doesn't actually exist, my dear friend! I have read so many wonderful accounts of the afterlife, and so many illuminating conversations that have been had through mediums with advanced beings. All of them not only fail to describe anything evil in the afterlife, but also suggest that all evil is created by humans on earth, and stays only on earth. Deeds like murder may be considered evil, but no person (or alien :)) is actually evil, just misguided. This is hard for a lot of people to comprehend, how murders and rapists aren't actually evil - but it is true. They are just misguided. That being said, there is no devil and no hell either.
3. What happens after death:
Death is a little bit different for everyone, but here's what happens for most: The actual moment of death is very pleasant, especially if the person has been suffering from a debilitating illness or injury. Suddenly, they feel strong and free, in a new light-weight body that doesn't have any aches or pains. This surprises most people nowadays who don't really expect to survive death, and definitely don't expect it to be so pleasurable! Everyone is greeted around this point (or even before actual death sometimes) by deceased family members, highly advanced beings, or some combination thereof. Pretty much everyone who has been through the experience agrees that death is not an end, but it is truly a wonderful new beginning! With family and possibly advanced, friendly beings, the deceased is taken to a splendorous afterlife area called the Summerland. It is such a beautiful place!! There are colors that are impossible for the living to imagine, because they're not in the visible spectrum, and there are copious amounts of flowers that never die! No one has any worry, anger, or pain in this glorious world! Around this point, everyone has to have a life review. You are shown everything that happened to you and everything that you did, just like a movie of your life, only this time you can feel the effects that your actions had an others, good or bad. At the end, you are asked to forgive all in your life who may have offended you or made life difficult, and then you are asked to do the hardest thing you will ever have to do: to forgive yourself. If you manage to do that, which most people do, then you go into the Summerland. If not, however, you keep you basically punish yourself and drift away from the Summerland. Do not worry though, this happens to very few people (normally those who commit awful crimes, commit suicide, or those who just judged themselves too hardly). Once you get into the Summerland though, you'll be amazed at it's beauty! Later on, I'll explain to you some of the ways that we can be so sure about all this.
4. Reincarnation:
Yes, we do reincarnate, but it is nothing like what the eastern religions teach. We've been told by advanced beings that concept is impossible for the living to fully grasp, so I would not worry about this. Just know this: you won't come back unless you want to. No one ever forces you to come here, my friend! Only you have that power. In the afterlife though, an earth life (or really a life on any planet) is looked at as a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow. It's seen as a beautiful sign of God's grace to the world. That's part of why suicide victims feel so guilty in the afterlife, because, once they get to their life reviews, they feel as though they've thrown away such a wonderful gift. Believe it or not, there are not enough bodies in the world to house all the people who want one! But, if you're still not sure about wanting to return, then don't worry about it! You won't return if you're not ready to.
5. Your children:
It is only natural for a parent to worry about his children, although most parents have simpler worries than you do, but really everything is okay here as well. Look at it this way: your children are forever surrounded by the love of God. Trust in God, He will never do you or anyone else harm. Know that you and your family are all eternal beings who will never cease to exist!
6. The Coming of the Lord:
This is just one of those Christian beliefs that really has nothing to do with what Jesus actually said. I'm assuming that you were at least raised christian since you're worrying about this, so you're probably somewhat familiar with the Bible. Roberta Grimes, an afterlife expert and author who has contributed greatly to these forums, explains it this way: the Old Testament is man's search for God, and so is all of the New Testament, except the Gospels. The Gospels are the only part of the Bible that actually recording someone who truly knew God, Jesus. Even here, I would recommend that you read just the words of Jesus, forgetting about any Christian beliefs. You'll be amazing at how much they really agree with modern afterlife evidence. Anyway, there is no evidence whatsoever that Jesus is coming back to judge us. Here are two quotes that prove that: (John 5:22) Moreover, the Father judges no one but has entrusted all judgment in the Son, and then later in the same Gospel (John 8:15) You judge by human standards; I pass judgement on no one. You see, my wonderful friend, Jesus was trying to ween his primitive disciples off the idea of a judgmental God. First he said that God didn't judge, but that he judges, then he refuted that, saying that even he didn't judge us. So you see, there is no day of judgement. The only judgement we have is the life review that I have explained above. God (and Jesus for that matter) seems to ignore our sins entirely. He loves us far too much to judge us!
7. Violent Acts:
Think of the earth as a school. People come here to learn and learning isn't always perfectly comfortable. Sometimes you need to have bad experiences to truly understand something. Most of us come here to learn love and forgiveness, so when people commit awful acts, it is we who have to learn to forgive them. That's our job. It's also important to know that no one is evil. No matter how evil someone may seem, they're just misguided at heart. Who knows, we all have probably murdered someone in one life or another. If you consider the amount of lives the average person has (over 100), then it is actually probably probable. So, please don't hold grudges against murders, their victims are safe and happy in the afterlife. No matter how hard it may be, it is good to try and forgive!

[Sorry, this post was so long that I actually had to break it up into two different posts because I couldn't publish it as one!]
Now, you mention that there is no way to find out what happens after death until you die, at which point communication with the living is impossible. You'll be glad to know that this far from true! There are actually many ways that we can figure out how the afterlife works, and also many ways that the deceased can contact us! So why doesn't anyone know about it? The answer appears to be that mainstream science and mainstream religion both block out all the evidence. Mainstream religions believe that there is nothing left to discover because they have been told everything by prophets centuries ago, and mainstream scientists believe they won't find anything, so what's the point in looking! In reality though, they are both wrong. Here are few ways that we get evidence:
1.Scientific experiments:
There is actually an overwhelming number of scientific experiments involving the afterlife and proving that consciousness is not generated by the brain. Most of these experiments are simply ignored by mainstream science, and those are reviewed are refuted for foolish reasons. For now it appears that we have to accept one sad truth in life: scientists just aren't ready yet to consider the existence of God and the afterlife. As Roberta says though, one day the dam will break because there is already so much evidence of the afterlife that stands up to the toughest of scientific scrutiny, and it can only be ignored for so long! If you would like to read about this scientific evidence of the afterlife, why don't you buy Dr. R. Craig Hogan's wonderful book Your Eternal Self. This book is really great! It's long, but it is packed with so much evidence that everyone needs to know about!
2. Mediums:
Mediums, or people who can contact the deceased, do indeed exist. There are a lot of fakes in the field, especially nowadays, but real ones do exist! Most of the mediums nowadays are rather obscure, but in the earlier part of the 1900s, there were a lot of deep trance and direct voice mediums. In this time, we have only two or three around the world, but back then, they were actually very common. Here (http://afterlifeforums.com/showthread.php/256-Leslie-Flint-Seances?highlight=leslie+flint) is a another thread on this forum, where another wonderful member called Annie lists a bunch of places where you can listen to different types of direct voice sessions, with a medium named Leslie Flint. Direct voice mediums actually work with the dead to allow them to speak in their own voices. You'll truly be amazed by these tapes!
3. People who have been there:
It is true that it is very hard, especially with a lack of deep trance mediums, or the dead to prove their existence to us undoubtably. But not everyone who was dead stays dead. There are some people (an estimated 15 million americans) who have had experiences called near death experiences (NDEs), wherein they've died, gone to the afterlife, and come back to tell the tale. Though you do not actually have to be dead to have an NDE, a good deal of experiencers report having them when they were brain dead, with no pulse. They can repeat what the doctors said when they were trying to resuscitate them, and they report being drawn up into a light that is so warm and loving that they never want to leave it. They are told that it is not their time to die and that they have to go back to earth, but no one really ever wants to go back. They feel completely at piece. And, once they are back, they lose their fears of death (and sometimes they lose fear altogether) completely.
So you see, my wonderful friend, there is just so much that is screaming to us that a loving, pleasurable afterlife exists! The afterlife can be scientifically proven many times over so there is no need for anyone to live in doubt or in fear about what comes next. To ease your worries though, I would suggest, as Birki did, that you buy Roberta Grimes's The Fun of Dying. It's a truly wonderful book that will help you to believe that everything is going to be okay! Please relax, my dear friend, and know that you and your family are eternally loved as children of God and they you are eternal beings that will never cease to exist!

ProtectUs, it is very obvious from your post that you are highly concerned about current world situations and very fearful of what the future holds. First, take a few slow, deep breaths to clear your head for a moment. Now, yes, it does seem the world has turned into us vs. them with the evil of power and greed winning..But..are things really that much different or spiraling into the depths? I agree that the current global economy is scary. The 24 hour 7 days a week news feeds that exploit any events simply for viewership are probably the main culprit in our feelings of demise. You say you hate this world for all the things it is. This world is many wonderful things also. To get the answers you are seeking will involve you doing some intensive study in these fields. Utilize your local library to begin your studies. Turn off the TV and toss the newspapers. As for your children, while you are responsible to keep them fed, sheltered and educated, even you do not have total control of how their lives will be lived - nor should you. Your job is to love and nurture them to help them become the people they themselves will mainly create. Remember you grew up possibly several decades ago and base your experiences of current times on the life back then. Your children are growing up in the current environment and should be better equipped to deal with these changes. These times now are going to be their "Good Ole Days". It is all in perspective. I would urge you to try some meditation and devout yourself to answering your questions. You will find that your knowledge will give you power and your fears will fade. I wish you and your family the best and hope to see you here often to share the many new things you discover.

Everyone thank you so much for your responses! It really makes me feel at ease already that there are so many positive aspects of this life that I was missing. My main concern will always be for my children and it makes me feel so much better that I can look forward to their future without worry they will be in pain or worse. Birki, thank you so much for your reassuring words, as well as you, Roberta Grimes and InAevum Vita, I really appreciate you breaking down everything for me. I will definitely start doing my own research. My husband actually has been doing it and lately I was feeling he was a little obsessed, but his findings weren't as reassuring as yours. He found some information on our previous presidents being in ties with aliens that didnt have good intentions for us and they spoke of invasions, both being staged my the government to control us and another being of one we might not survive. Also, Half of Us, you are very correct in that the media puts things in a negative perspective for me. I really was never interested in the news being that everything is always about a child being kidnapped or how our economy is failing. My husband and I have recently been married and we have experienced some spiritual things that have led us in a new direction in life, such as looking up at the moon and seeing the light of the moon glowing bright and forming a cross clear as day, or our two year old daughter drawing an angel praying, and the biggest of all, my husband feeling like god was speaking through him. He was talking to me and all of a sudden, he felt this overwhelming presence in which he dropped to his knees crying. He said he felt like he was going to die! He couldnt move, all he could do was cry and when he was able to stand up, he began to unplug everything electronic in the house, saying over and over the media was controlling us. I can not explain what mightve been the cause for that except that he was experiencing something of greater power. He later admitted to me he believed god was speaking to him because days before he had questioned his faith in him. And even through all of this the media really does seem to seep in and corrupt my spirit.
Yes, I have grown up with mostly christian beliefs, but I was never really interested in attending church or hearing the "word of god" from the pastor. I always told myself, God knows my heart, and he knew I did not want to love as a "jesus freak" to show that I love him, but that I had faith in him, I believed in him and his power and that that was enough. I was also told that if I believed in god that could not believe in the existence of aliens or ghosts because that went against what he stood for, but I find it hard to believe that we would be the only intelligence in this galaxy and I have my own personal experiences that prove there is more than the lord in this world. And I am not sure if it means anything but I know your dreams speak to you as well and lately I have been dreaming and remembering more than ever before. I have been trying to find some meaning to them, most have distinct symbols. I just feel I am putting myself through so much and now I see it was unnecessary.
But I thank everyone again for the positive energy you have put back into me. I will continue to search for the answers to my own questions, and I want to try to become more spiritual as a person and more spiritual with my energy. I have never tried to meditate, and honestly I am not so sure I would achieve it! But I want to grow as a mother,a person, a wife, and a being and I feel this is the first step.

Dear ProtectUs, nobody likes the economic and political uncertainty that is seizing the world. This is more or less what it felt like to live through the Great Depression of the nineteen-thirties, and it is going to take awhile before we are out of this mess. But you and your children are perfectly safe! As Half of Us wisely says, you should turn off the news for awhile and concentrate on providing for and nurturing your children... and you should find the spiritual food that you and they need most. I suggest that you try the following:
1) Find a Unity Church. Traditional Christian churches can feed your fear, but the Unity Movement is based in the teachings of Jesus and will teach you only love. My own Unity Church is food and drink for my spirit - I cannot imagine life without it! And, wonderfully, it is a place where my grandchildren are learning about the love of God and learning to love and forgive in an atmosphere of perfect kindness and safety. Stay away from fear-based churches, dear friend. Fear is the opposite of love!
2) Learn the truth. I can remember what it was like to be afraid, and what it was like when I first understood that there is nothing whatsoever to fear. A Course in Miracles can help with your learning, and nearly all Unity Churches have ACIM classes. Learn about the afterlife also, dear ProtectUs, and learn what the afterlife evidence has to teach us about God and reality, since once you really understand what is going on you will never look at anything the same way again.
3) Learn to see everything that happens as another lesson in love and forgiveness. That is all that our earth-trials really are, even the worst ones. It is all just school! And since we are powerful eternal beings, this brief minute of our lifetimes - while valuable - doesn't matter in any ultimate sense. ACIM says that everything that happens is either love or a call for love. So no matter what is going on, there can be only one rational response!
4) Read the red letters in the Gospels. Those are the only part of the Bible that I would read right now - they are God's eternal truth, from the mouth of our Wayshower and Best Friend. Not everything that Jesus is quoted as saying is likely to be just as He said it, but that is not surprising when His words spent 2000 years in the custody of people who were using them to build a religion. What is remarkable is how closely the words of Jesus corroborate and are corroborated by the afterlife evidence. Jesus is real! And the better you know His words, the more loved and peaceful and powerful you will begin to feel.
5) Learn to trust God. The greatest blessing that I gained in all my decades of studying the afterlife evidence was an absolute certainty that everyone I love is God's best-beloved eternal child and there is nothing that ever can harm any of us. When you really get that, dear ProtectUs, you will never fear anything, not ever again!
- Please let us know how you are doing, dear friend ;-).

Hello ProtectUs! I am glad to see your second post. I can certainly relate to being the mother of a young child, I have an almost 9 year old son myself. When I got pregnant with him it was just after 9/11 and I can assure you I wondered what kind of world I was bringing him into! I really did have to turn off the news for several years after he was born as I found the negativism so prevelent in the media to be too much to handle at that time. I still only read/watch the news in small doses now. I really try not to concern myself with what is happening to others and focus on what I am doing...I don't mean that to sound "selfish" in a negative way, but I can only control what I do and my reaction to what others do or say. (Note I am in what I consider a helping profession, so I don't mean to say I have no interest in helping others - I do! But I can only control myself).
Before I started to explore the afterlife evidence specifically I had more of a focus on the Law of Attraction which, while consisent with afterlife evidence, I now realize is not all that there is, but I do still believe it is a facet of our eternal existence. Anyway, one thing I learned from it is that we should put our attention on what we want to happen - ask and you shall receive! So please don't focus on the negative, as that is what will come to fruition if you do. Focus on the positives, focus on what you want. And spend time learning about what a powerful, eternal being that you are.

Hi Protect Us! The end of Roberta's wonderful post here really sums everything up: Trust in God and He'll take care of the rest. What a wonderful message that it!
I've done a lot of research personally concerning the government and extraterrestrials, and it is my educated opinion that the government has been aware of the presence that is on earth and has made a feeble effort to cover it up. I have even seen very convincing evidence, from several sources, that President Eisenhower actually met with them! There are even accounts of afterlife beings informing us that (friendly) extraterrestrials do help guide us and watch our planet. They watch, though, to protect us from blowing ourselves up! So again, don't worry about the aliens - they're truly our friends!
I hope all our responses are able to help you on your journey, dear friend!
